Pastor Crow grew up in Boise, graduating from the United States Military Academy (1996), serving several years in the Army, first active duty, and then in the Reserves. Later in life he sensed a call to pastoral ministry, graduating from Asbury Theological Seminary (2013). John is an ordained Elder in the Free Methodist Church, serving Epworth first as the associate pastor before becoming the senior pastor in December, 2022. He published his first novel, Ghost Jacket, in October, 2025, and is currently working on a sequel in his spare time. John and his wife, Mindy, have four boys: Sergei, Josiah, Stephen, and Asher. John enjoys listening to the Holy Post podcast, hiking, snowshoeing, and board games.
